David Higgins

Vice President of Development, McGough Development

Since 2017, Dave has served as Vice President of Development with McGough Development, LLC – the real estate development arm of McGough – where he focuses on multifamily development, capital markets, and P3/public-private project initiatives. Dave’s past roles include executive and attorney capacities in both public and private sectors here in the Twin Cities, Boston and New York, working primarily on national investment transactions and large-scale urban development.

Prior to McGough, Dave held positions across the real estate sector including: Special Assistant and Counsel to the Director at the Boston Redevelopment Authority, Boston’s planning, zoning, and economic development agency; Senior Real Estate Associate for DLA Piper, the global law firm; and, Vice President of Development for Roers Investments, LLC, the Twin Cities-based multifamily developer.

Since 2012, Dave has dedicated volunteer time with the City of Lakes Community Land Trust, a Minneapolis-based non-profit affordable housing organization, where he currently serves as Chair of its Board of Directors and as a member of its Project Development and Executive Committees.
