Murray Kornberg

Executive Vice President, Dougherty Funding LLC

Murray Kornberg is Executive Vice President of Dougherty Funding LLC. Headquartered in Minneapolis, he is responsible for production of new debt and structured finance placements for the company. Mr. Kornberg has been involved in closing in excess of $3 billion of commercial real estate loans in his real estate finance career.

Mr. Kornberg has been employed in the commercial real estate business for over 30 years. In 1988, he was president of his own real estate development company where he was responsible for the development, management, leasing and financing of four community neighborhood shopping centers in the Twin Cities.

In 1993, Mr. Kornberg joined CSM Corporation as Vice President where he oversaw and supervised all aspects of construction and permanent mortgage financing, closing more than 125 loans totaling in excess of $750 million. He also supervised the acquisition of properties as well as the development, environmental review and due diligence of several high profile projects in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metropolitan area.

In 2003, Mr. Kornberg joined CBRE Capital Markets and was among the top 200 out of 3,000 incentive compensated professionals in the Americas twice in his career.

Murray was the Bob Jackson Award winner for CBRE in 2013. The Bob Jackson award is given to a commissioned salesperson in Minneapolis or Chicago who exemplifies the qualities for which Bob was famous, including integrity, fairness and ethics in business, loyalty, pride in the organization, friendliness, good humor and enjoyment of life.
